{"id":10021,"date":"2008-11-23T11:01:48","date_gmt":"2008-11-23T10:01:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.harald-bluechel.com\/in-the-fall\/"},"modified":"2008-11-23T11:01:48","modified_gmt":"2008-11-23T10:01:48","slug":"in-the-fall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.harald-bluechel.com\/en\/in-the-fall\/","title":{"rendered":"in the fall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>in the fall<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>in autumn, the leaves of the trees glow in a thousand colors.<\/p>\n<p>the leaves of the trees, which the wind blows in beautiful trajectories<\/p>\n<p>through the air until they eventually float down to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>watch them do it from a park bench for hours.<\/p>\n<p>the leaves rustle under my feet as i walk.<\/p>\n<p>how it smells: the leaves in misty dampness.<\/p>\n<p>i am happy about the fresh wind blowing mightily in my face,<\/p>\n<p>drumming raindrop staccatos on my hood,<\/p>\n<p>I am more grateful for the sun, which is now<\/p>\n<p>rare, reserved and in a completely different light.<\/p>\n<p>the clouds play the leading role in the sky.<\/p>\n<p>in the fall i can finally slip into coats and my favorite sweaters again,<\/p>\n<p>I feel pleasantly protected and secure in my clothes.<\/p>\n<p>the women take out their high boots and wrap their legs in chic nylon.<\/p>\n<p>even the cities are becoming quieter,<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t need to constantly flee from rude noises,<\/p>\n<p>the glaring signals are muffled by the fog,<\/p>\n<p>even the mobile phones seem to be turned down,<\/p>\n<p>the stupendous sawing of the high-speed car engines from the<\/p>\n<p>the silvery whirring through puddles of moving tires.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>in the fall, time begins to expand,<\/p>\n<p>there is more space to let things sink in.<\/p>\n<p>the rain washes the decorative plaster off the fa\u00e7ades.<\/p>\n<p>people put their general cheerfulness, their compulsive happiness and activity in the cupboard with their summer clothes,<\/p>\n<p>their drive is reduced, slowed down, tuned down.<\/p>\n<p>autumn is the only season not yet dispossessed by advertising.<\/p>\n<p>the rainy streets and misty squares are almost empty in the evening,<\/p>\n<p>i can walk in them like in a lonely forest.<\/p>\n<p>when i look into the illuminated windows, headlights, neon signs, traffic lights and street lamps blur with the outlines of shapes and buildings.<\/p>\n<p>I am delighted by the idea of being able to walk into a<\/p>\n<p>to come home to a warm apartment and drink steaming chai.<\/p>\n<p>i read the books wrapped up in a woolen blanket.<\/p>\n<p>the grand piano sounds more fluorescent, darker, more romantic,<\/p>\n<p>the hours with him are open &#8211;
