I was very touched by the concert.<\/p>\n
It was a wonderful experience to be able to experience these two gentlemen, who have always been one of my most important sources of inspiration, in the same room after so many years.<\/p>\n
The emotional highlight for me was Hans Joachim Roedelius’ encore after<\/u> the actual concert: he played the audience a spontaneously improvised CD spanning thirty years of his musical career. Nobody got up from their seats and left. <\/p>\n
As I watched and listened to him, tears came to my eyes at the thought that it is possible to be so young, spontaneous, fun-loving, authentic, unforced and full of esprit at the age of seventy-three. There was someone standing in front of me who – without vanity, without emphasis – showed me in a great way what it is like to be an inwardly free person: concentrated, with dedication and at the same time radiating lightness, sovereignty and joy. A living philosophy of life!!! <\/p>\n
